Microsoft have announced their first in house desktop PC at its Windows 10 Creator event. The Windows 10, all in one PC boasts a 28″ touchscreen with PixelSense technology. With I5 and I7 processors and Nvidia graphics power, the new PC will be called the Surface Studio, which will complete the Microsoft Surface range.

Made from Aluminium, with a hinge stand design that means the screen (made from 28″ Gorilla glass) folds down almost flat so designers can easily work. And with a resolution of 4500 x 3000 images are beautiful. Also shown are a pencil and a rotating, zooming device. Connectivity is taken care of by four USB 3.0 ports, SDXC card slot, Mini DisplayPort, 3.5mm headphone jack and a gigabit ethernet port.

Prices and configurations for the Studio are as follows:

Entry level Intel Core i5, comes with 8GB Ram an Nvidia GTX 965M GPU and 1TB storage for (£2,500/$2,999

Mid Ranged Intel Core i7, with 16GB RAM an Nvidia GTX 965M GPU and 1TB storage (£2900/ $3,499

High End Intel Core i7, with 32GB RAM an Nvidia GTX 980M GPU and 2TB storage (£3400/$4,199)

Processor speeds aren’t mentioned at the moment, but you would think there would be quite a jump in pace between the Mid and High end to meet the price jump.

This is another hit for Apple after they had a chance in their October event to release updates to its iMac and Mac Pro range, but only showed new MacBook Pro range. It would seem that Microsoft have got the jump on Apple with this new device and many would say they have won the day.
