New 2012 iMac Boosted By Intel Releases

Intel have published news of their new processor releases. The Ivy Bridge processors will be released at the end of April, these will be Quad core i5 & i7 for Desktop and Mobile devices and will be available to buy from the 29th of April. Early June will see the release of more i5 & i7 processors with an i3 (which will be used in Netbook devices) to follow later in the year. These new processors give a massive power boost while using less power to run them.

This great news is a real boost for Apple as there was talk of a processor delay. The new iMac’s and Macbook Pro should be available soon after the processors are released. There is no mention of the Mac pro getting a refresh which starts speculation of the desktop machine being discontinued, though some would feel that Mac pro still has a place in the industry world and would welcome the upgrade that this powerful machine missed out on in 2011.

Thanks for your time.
